Elderly Hiker Rescued After 20-Meter Fall in Golan Heights
Rescue teams successfully evacuated a woman in her seventies who fell approximately 20 meters in the Dalat El Jalbon valley in the Golan Heights. The hiker, who fell from the top of the Dabura waterfall into the pool below, sustained injuries to her head and leg. Bystanders quickly pulled her from the water and administered initial first aid on the bank.
Volunteers from the Golan Rescue Unit, along with the 669 Rescue Team and an Air Force helicopter, collaborated on the complex rescue operation. The challenging, steep terrain required rescue personnel to use ropes and anchors to safely transport the injured woman on a stretcher.
After being carried across the rugged path, she was airlifted by the Air Force helicopter to Rambam Hospital. She arrived fully conscious and is continuing to receive medical treatment for her injuries. The operation concluded with her transfer to the hospital for further care.
