Elderly Hiker Rescued After 20-Meter Fall in Jordan Valley

Volunteers from the Golan rescue unit, along with the 669 rescue team and an Air Force helicopter, successfully rescued a woman in her seventies who fell approximately 20 meters in the Jordan Valley. The incident occurred when the hiker fell from the top of the Debora waterfall into the pool below, sustaining injuries to her head and leg. Other hikers present at the scene managed to pull her from the water to the bank, where a medic from the Golan rescue unit provided initial treatment.

Rescue unit members then carried the injured woman on a stretcher along a steep trail, navigating difficult sections that required the use of climbing anchors, until they reached the Air Force helicopter. The helicopter landed near the site and airlifted the woman to Rambam Hospital. She was fully conscious upon arrival and is receiving further medical treatment.
