Israeli striker Sean Weissman, 30, is in advanced negotiations with Dinamo Batumi of Georgia, according to ynet. He is expected to complete a move to the club, which after 18 league rounds sits fourth in the table, five points behind first place.
Dinamo Batumi won the Georgian championship about three years ago, its second title in history. The club had previously captured its first league crown in 2021.
Weissman ended last season with Austrian side Blau-Weiss Linz. He wants to stay abroad, but if he cannot find another overseas team and decides to return to Israel, he will sign only with Maccabi Jerusalem, the runners-up in Israel.
His 2025 to 2026 season began at Granada, where he made two appearances in Spain's second division, before moving in September to Blau-Weiss Linz. Across all competitions for Linz, he played 29 matches, scored 10 goals and added one assist. In Austria's league alone, he had 27 appearances, nine goals and one assist, plus one more goal in two cup matches. Including Granada, his season total was 31 appearances and 10 goals.
