Samaria Region Sees Thousands of Tourists for Sukkot Celebrations

The Sukkot holiday period has commenced with a significant surge in tourism across the Samaria region, beginning Sunday. Thousands of visitors and families from across Israel have flocked to the area's natural sites, parks, heritage centers, and springs to celebrate the holiday. Popular destinations included the Alon Moreh Heritage Center, featuring an adventure park and a new promenade, as well as various agricultural farms that opened their doors to the public. Many also visited springs such as "Yedidya" Park in Revava, "Shvil Ha'gvura" in Tel Menashe, and the springs of Amit and Kafir.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, welcomed the visitors, stating, "The land of Samaria embraces the many travelers who have come to celebrate the Sukkot holiday with us. Our resounding answer to all challenges, both internal and external, is precisely this: to continue traveling, to continue building, and to connect all segments of the public to the Land of the Bible." He invited the public to continue visiting in the coming days.

Major events are scheduled to continue throughout the holiday week. These include "The Race to a Million" in northern Samaria, a navigational game with prizes, heritage festivals, and quizzes at Mount Gerizim and Sebastia, along with guided tours in Nahal Kana. The highlight event will be "The Samaria March" on Wednesday, a large-scale family journey and celebration through the northern Samaria communities of Kedumim, Ganim, and Noa, featuring a nature trail, live performances, activity stations, and inflatables.
