Samaria Region Announces Extensive Sukkot Holiday Events

The Samaria Tourism organization and the Samaria Regional Council are preparing to host thousands of visitors from across Israel for Sukkot, unveiling a diverse program of cultural, natural, and heritage events. The celebrations, taking place during the intermediate days of the holiday, will feature festivals, natural springs, agricultural farms, boutique wineries, and hiking trails in the "Land of the Bible" region.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, extended an invitation to the public, emphasizing the region's green landscapes and the importance of continued tourism and settlement. "Our resounding answer to all challenges, internal and external, is to continue traveling, continue building, and connect all segments of the people to the Land of the Bible," Dagan stated.

Key events include the "Samaria March" and family fun day on Wednesday, September 30, near the communities of Kedumim, Ganim, and Nofim, featuring a nature walk, performances, and children's activities. The "Race to a Million" interactive family adventure in northern Samaria will run on Monday and Tuesday, September 28-29, utilizing an app and puzzles to explore historical sites. Mount Ebal will host a family fun day on Thursday, October 1, with inflatables, workshops, a children's show, and guided tours to Joshua's Altar and observation points.

Further activities include tours of the ancient Samaria National Park (Sebastia) and Mount Gerizim on September 28-30, with interactive games and guided tours. Hiking in the Kana Stream Nature Reserve is available on September 28-29, with shuttle services provided. The Alon Moreh Heritage Center will offer immersive experiences, including virtual reality and escape rooms, from September 27 to October 1.

Other highlights include a musical celebration at Ma'oz Tzvi on Tuesday, September 29, featuring craft workshops and guided tours. An adventure leadership park at "Gvurot Yehuda" in Alon Moreh will offer activities like a ropes course and climbing wall throughout Sukkot. The Samaria Tour and Study Center will lead tours to historical sites, and various agricultural farms will open their gates to visitors. Extreme sports enthusiasts can enjoy off-road tours with "Tractoroni Alon Moreh RZR" throughout the holiday.

The region also boasts numerous natural springs for visitors to enjoy, including "Yedidya Park" at Revava, the "Path of Valor and Yedidya Spring" at Tal Menashe, and "Aynot Amit" at Migdalim. Additional springs and natural sites like Ein Kefir, Ein Rachalim, and Ein El Fuka are also accessible.
