Samaria Region Invites Public to Extensive Sukkot Holiday Events
The Samaria region is preparing to host thousands of visitors from across Israel for a wide array of cultural, natural, and heritage events during the intermediate days of Sukkot 2026. The Samaria Tourism and Regional Council has announced a diverse program featuring festivals, natural springs, agricultural farms, boutique wineries, and hiking trails in the heart of the biblical land.
Regional Council head Yossi Dagan encouraged the public to visit, stating, "Samaria awaits you. We have prepared a wealth of events, festivals, and trails in Samaria's breathtaking nature. Our resounding answer to all challenges from home and abroad is to continue traveling, continue building, and connect all segments of the public to the Land of the Bible. Come experience, be moved, and rejoice with us this Sukkot holiday."
Key events include the "Samaria March" from Kedumim to Ganim and Nofim, a family-friendly interactive adventure race called "The Million Race" in northern Samaria utilizing an advanced app for puzzles and challenges, and a Sukkot festival at Mount Ebal featuring inflatables, workshops, a children's show, guided vehicle tours to Joshua's Altar, and hiking trails. The ancient site of Sebastia, the former capital of the Kingdom of Israel, will offer guided tours, while Mount Gerizim will host games and workshops among its ancient ruins.
Additional activities include guided tours of the Kena River Nature Reserve, heritage center events at Alon Moreh with escape rooms and virtual reality, a musical celebration at Ma'oz Tzvi, and various tours throughout the Samaria region. Adventure parks at Alon Moreh will offer ropes courses, zip lines, and climbing walls. Several agricultural farms will also open their gates, showcasing pioneer and agricultural life, with options for off-road vehicle tours and visits to numerous natural springs and swimming holes, many dedicated to fallen soldiers.
