Prominent Rabbi's Wife, Tamar Pinchasi, Dies at 76

Rabbi Tamar Pinchasi, wife of Rabbi Betzalel Pinchasi, head of the 'Brachot Ephraim' yeshiva, passed away on Sunday, the first day of the intermediate days of Sukkot, at the age of 76. She died at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak after a prolonged and difficult illness.

Pinchasi was born in Afghanistan in 1950 to Rabbi Ephraim Aaronov. She married Rabbi Betzalel Pinchasi, and throughout their decades of marriage, she dedicated herself to supporting his Torah scholarship and educational endeavors. When her husband established the Sephardic 'Brachot Ephraim' yeshiva, named after her father, she served as its "mother," attending to the needs of the institution and its students with great devotion.

She is survived by her husband and their twelve children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, many of whom are involved in Torah scholarship and dissemination. The funeral procession began at 3:00 PM from the 'Brachot Ephraim' yeshiva for youth in Bnei Brak, followed by a service at 4:30 PM at the Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem, where she was laid to rest.
