Prominent Rabbi's Wife, Tamar Pinchasi, Dies at 76

Rabbi Tamar Pinchasi, wife of Rabbi Bezalel Pinchasi, head of the 'Bracha Ephraim' yeshiva, passed away on Sunday, the first day of Chol HaMoed Sukkot, at the age of 76. She died at Ma'ayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak after a prolonged illness.

Her funeral procession began at 3:00 PM from the 'Bracha Ephraim' yeshiva for youth at 9 Rabbi Sorotzkin Street in Bnei Brak. A second service was held at 4:30 PM at Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem, where she was laid to rest.

Pinchasi was born in Afghanistan on December 31, 1949, to Rabbi Ephraim Aaronov and Miriam. She married Rabbi Bezalel Pinchasi, who later became head of the 'Bracha Ephraim' yeshiva and a prominent Sephardic Torah scholar.

Throughout their marriage, she was a devoted supporter of her husband's Torah scholarship and educational endeavors. In 1984, Rabbi Pinchasi established the 'Bracha Ephraim' yeshiva, named after her father, Rabbi Ephraim Aaronov. She was deeply involved with the yeshiva, often referred to as its 'mother,' actively contributing to its welfare and operations.

She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Bezalel Pinchasi, and their 12 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, many of whom are also Torah scholars. Her eldest son, Rabbi Ephraim Pinchasi, serves as a lecturer at the yeshiva.
