Al-Badiya Festival Concludes in Al-Batuf Regional Council

The Al-Badiya Festival concluded on Friday evening in Al-Azir's sports hall after a three-day run from September 23-25. The event was organized in partnership between the Al-Batuf Regional Council and the Al-Badiya Foundation, with extensive participation from residents of Al-Batuf towns and performing groups and artists from Israel and European countries.

The festival blended art, heritage, popular folklore, and music, featuring an exhibition of fine arts, dabke performances, musical concerts, and entertainment for children and families. Numerous dabke and folk art troupes participated, including the Al-Batuf Dabke Troupe led by Marwan Tatour, the Al-Kufiya Dabke Troupe from Al-Mashhad, and the Hajini Bedouin Heritage Troupe from the Negev.

The final day saw the honoring of international artistic delegations from Romania, Moldova, Lithuania, and Ukraine. The director of the Al-Badiya Foundation also honored Professor Dorel Cosma, president of the International Folklore Association, for his role in promoting cultural exchange. Ahed Rahal, head of the Al-Batuf Regional Council, expressed pride in hosting the festival, which brought the community together around art and culture, and thanked all contributors to its success.

The Al-Batuf Regional Council stated that the festival supports cultural and artistic activities in the region, enhancing its presence as a hub for arts and fostering connections between the local community and international groups. The council extended its gratitude to the Al-Badiya Foundation, participating artists, delegations, organizers, volunteers, and the public for making the event a success.
