Badia Festival Concludes in Al-Battuf Regional Council

The three-day Badia Festival, held from September 23-25, concluded on Friday evening at the sports hall in Al-Azir. Organized in partnership between the Al-Battuf Regional Council and the Badia Foundation, the event featured a wide participation of residents from Al-Battuf towns, along with artists and troupes from Israel and European countries.

The festival blended art, heritage, folklore, and music, including an art exhibition, dabke performances, concerts, and entertainment for children and families. Participating dabke and folk art groups included the Al-Battuf Dabke Troupe led by Marwan Tator, the Al-Kufiya Dabke Troupe from Al-Mashhad, Nasim Al-Badia, Indur, Al-Mahbaj, Ashbal Nasim Al-Badia, Al-Majd Al-Nasrawiya, Al-Qanater from Al-Mazra'a, Al-Reem for Folk Arts from Kafr Yasif, and the Al-Hajini Bedouin Heritage Troupe from the Negev.

The final day honored international artistic delegations from Romania, Moldova, Lithuania, and Ukraine. The director of the Badia Foundation also presented an award to Professor Dorel Cosma, president of the International Folklore Union, for his role in fostering connections between diverse cultures.

Ahed Rahal, head of the Al-Battuf Regional Council, expressed pride in hosting the festival, which brought the community together around art and culture. He thanked the Badia Foundation, participating groups, international delegations, volunteers, and the public for their contributions to its success. The council emphasized that the festival supports cultural and artistic activities in Al-Battuf towns and promotes the region as a hub for arts and cross-cultural exchange.
