Two Drownings Reported in Israel Over the Weekend

Two individuals drowned to death in separate incidents in Ashkelon and the Sea of Galilee over the weekend. In Ashkelon, a 17-year-old boy was found deceased on Saturday morning at Delilah Beach after going missing the previous evening. The incident began Friday when three young men entered the water and encountered difficulties. A 24-year-old was rescued in serious condition and taken to Barzilai Hospital, while another 17-year-old was pulled out in mild condition. Searches for the third individual, also 17, continued through the night. He was discovered unresponsive on the shoreline Saturday morning and pronounced dead at the scene. Later on Saturday, a second drowning occurred near the Separate Beach in the Sea of Galilee. Emergency medical services responded after a man in his 30s was pulled from the water unconscious. Medical personnel were unable to revive him and pronounced him dead.
