Two Drownings Reported Over Weekend in Israel

Two individuals drowned to death over the weekend in separate incidents along Israel's coastlines. In Ashkelon, a 17-year-old boy was found unresponsive on Delilah Beach on Saturday morning after disappearing the previous evening. He had entered the sea with two friends on Friday, one of whom, a 24-year-old, was rescued in critical condition and taken to Barzilai Hospital. Another 17-year-old was rescued in light condition. The search for the third teenager continued through the night until he was discovered on the shoreline Saturday morning. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Later on Saturday, a man in his 30s was pulled from the water near the Separate Beach on the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) unresponsive. Emergency medical services arrived and, after finding no signs of life, declared him deceased. Paramedics described finding the man without a pulse or breathing and being forced to pronounce his death.

The police urged the public to adhere to the instructions of lifeguards and security forces and to avoid entering the sea at unpatrolled beaches or when sea conditions are dangerous.
