Firefighters Gain Control of Major Blaze in Haruvit Forest
Firefighters have gained control of a significant wildfire that erupted in the Haruvit Forest, according to the Fire and Rescue Services. The blaze consumed approximately 600 dunams (about 150 acres) of brush and vegetation.
Emergency crews, including firefighters and additional forces, are continuing to work in the area overnight to extinguish all remaining hotspots. As a result of the ongoing efforts and the extent of the damage, the forest will remain closed to visitors on the following day.
The fire's origin and the full extent of the damage are still under investigation, but initial reports indicate a substantial area was affected.
