Massive Fire Contained in Jerusalem Hills Forest

Firefighting teams have successfully reduced the intensity of flames in the Haruvit Forest near Beit Shemesh, according to Fire and Rescue Services Jerusalem District Commander Shmulik Friedman. Fifty-one firefighting and rescue teams are currently on the scene, and the blaze has been contained, posing no immediate threat to nearby facilities or communities. All hikers in the forest were evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

KKL-JNF has requested that the public refrain from visiting the forest until further notice, as efforts to fully extinguish the fire continue.
