Israeli-Russian Couple Arrested in Montenegro With Suspected Spy Gear
An Israeli-Russian couple, Alexander (31) and Alexandra Kruglyansky (42), were detained at Tivat Airport in Montenegro this week as they attempted to board a flight to Israel. Authorities seized approximately 26,210 euros, 1,150 shekels, undeclared electronic equipment, and substances suspected to be drugs.
Local Montenegrin authorities reported that the confiscated items included devices believed to be used for surveillance and espionage, along with communication equipment. The couple is suspected of smuggling and money laundering offenses.
Their detention has been extended by one month. No official charges have been filed linking the couple to any specific espionage activities. Both individuals hold both Israeli and Russian citizenship.
