Lorenzo Brown Joins Hapoel Jerusalem in Deal Involving Italian Club

Lorenzo Brown, a 36-year-old former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, has signed with Hapoel Jerusalem to fill the void left by injured guard Jared Harper. Details of the agreement, first reported by Sport 5, reveal Brown will earn approximately $850,000 per season. Italian club Olimpia Milano will contribute about $250,000 towards his salary, leaving Hapoel Jerusalem responsible for the remaining $600,000.

The contract is set to run until the end of the year, with Hapoel Jerusalem holding an option to terminate the agreement after a few months. This clause is reportedly linked to Harper's recovery timeline, as he is expected to be sidelined for an additional two to four months due to a thumb injury.

Last season, Brown played in 12 EuroLeague games, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists per game. His best performance was against his former team, Panathinaikos, where he scored 17 points and provided five assists.

Hapoel Jerusalem coach Sasa Obradovic commented on the potential signing after a recent win, stating, "There is nothing new. As I said before, first of all, we need to wait for official announcements to say something about him. We will announce when there is something."
