Israel Ministry of Education and Intel Sign AI and STEM Education Accord

Israel's Ministry of Education and Intel have signed a memorandum of understanding in New York to expand the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Israeli education system. The signing ceremony was attended by Sara Netanyahu, wife of the Prime Minister, Education Minister Yoav Kisch, White House representatives, and Intel executives.

This initiative follows Sara Netanyahu's participation in the "Fostering the Future Together" conference in Washington in March 2026, an international program established by former U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. The program focuses on AI in education, technological tools, digital literacy, and online child safety.

Under the agreement, Intel employees and scientists will expand their mentorship programs for students and teachers. AI content will be integrated into technology education tracks, mentors will be provided for educators and students, and activities will be broadened in schools and local authorities. Collaboration will also continue on the STARTCUP championship, which previously saw four Israeli projects presented at Intel's global AI festival.

Sara Netanyahu stated that the partnership will equip students and teachers with knowledge from a leading tech company, emphasizing the need to invest in children to prepare them for leadership roles in AI. Minister Kisch added that the expansion will allow students to learn from Intel engineers, thereby enhancing STEM education in schools.
