Former Israeli football star and TV personality Eyal Berkovic found himself the target of a prank by his son, Lior Berkovic, during a live recording of the "The Magician and His Sons" podcast. Lior dramatically recounted experiencing severe physical symptoms after Yom Kippur, claiming he felt "currents all over his body" and needed to meet his father at Ichilov Hospital within half an hour. He alleged he was diagnosed with shingles after hospital tests.

Berkovic, skeptical of his son's dramatic account, dismissed it, suggesting it might be a "botox infection." When Lior feigned a sudden drop in blood sugar and appeared to be fainting, the podcast host became alarmed and searched for water and sugar. However, Eyal Berkovic, recognizing a potential "ratings" opportunity, intervened when the host suggested stopping the recording, urging him to continue and suggesting his son could "faint on the episode."

Moments later, Lior revealed it was a prank. This incident followed a recent social media video where Lior Berkovic openly discussed his struggles with shingles, showing visible signs of the virus on his forehead and describing intense pain in his back and right leg, which he called his "football bomb leg," stating it was "crushed" and made walking difficult.
