Eyal Berkovic's Son, Battling Shingles, Requests Tefillin from Yaron Magal

Lior Berkovic, son of former Israeli football star Eyal Berkovic, has been hospitalized with a shingles outbreak, causing concern among his social media followers. While recovering, Lior made a surprising request to Yaron Magal, a co-host on the "Podium" podcast with his father.

In a video shared on the 103FM Instagram page, Eyal Berkovic and Yaron Magal are seen in a studio kitchen when Eyal receives a call from his son. During the conversation, Eyal informs Magal that Lior is suffering from shingles. Magal inquires if it's the "son who is strengthening his religious observance," referencing Lior's recent religious engagement.

Eyal checks on his son's well-being, asking, "Are you alive? Is everything okay?" Lior then directly addresses Magal, requesting that he arrange for him to receive tefillin (phylacteries) and a tallit (prayer shawl) inscribed with his name. Lior specifically emphasized that he wants the items to come from Magal, including a personal dedication.

Magal confirms with Eyal, "If I arrange it for him, will he put them on?" Eyal replies, "Yes, only from you." Magal accepts the request, saying, "Okay, deal," and wishes Lior good health, adding, "Do many good deeds."
