Prominent Kabbalist Rabbi David Batsri Hospitalized After Collapse and Resuscitation
Rabbi David Batsri, an 85-year-old prominent Kabbalist, collapsed on Rabbi Landau Street and required resuscitation efforts on Friday morning. Emergency medical teams were called to the scene and worked to restore his pulse. Following the return of his pulse, Rabbi Batsri was sedated, intubated, and transported to the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
His son, Rabbi Yitzhak Batsri, also a Kabbalist, appealed to the public to pray for his father's complete recovery. The name for prayers is Rabbi David Shalom ben Victoria. A statement released after the incident urged prayers for the "complete recovery of the elder Kabbalist, the righteous Rabbi David Shalom ben Victoria Batsri."
Rabbi Batsri is considered one of the leading Kabbalists in Israel and has been associated with the world of Kabbalah and yeshivas for decades.
