Haredi Cyclist Critically Injured in Jerusalem E-Bike Crash

A 28-year-old Haredi man riding an electric bicycle was seriously injured overnight in Jerusalem after slipping while riding on Herzl Boulevard near the Chords Bridge. Emergency medical teams who arrived at the scene provided initial treatment and transported him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He was reportedly disoriented and suffering from a severe head injury.

According to volunteer medics from United Hatzalah, Eliezer Maklev, Moshe Meltzer, and Gershon Genaor, the cyclist "slipped during the ride and as a result was injured in his head." They provided initial medical assistance before he was taken to the hospital, where his condition was described as serious.

Another medic, Yaanki Grunwald of Hatzala, stated, "When I arrived at the scene, I saw an electric bicycle rider, a 28-year-old man, disoriented with a severe head injury after he slipped during the ride." He added that he, along with Magen David Adom paramedics and medics, provided initial medical care, including stopping bleeding, stabilization, and bandaging. He was then evacuated by a Magen David Adom intensive care ambulance in serious condition to the trauma room at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
