Border Police Arrest 13 Illegal Immigrants and Two Suspected Smugglers in Jerusalem Area

Border Police forces in the Jerusalem area conducted a dramatic enforcement operation, resulting in the arrest of 13 undocumented individuals and two suspects accused of transporting them. The operation, which spanned two distinct locations, involved precise intelligence and proactive measures against illegal aliens and their facilitators, who are considered a potential security risk.

In the Mevo'ot Ha'Emek region, Border Police established checkpoints and stopped two suspicious vehicles. Dramatic footage shows officers aggressively surrounding the cars, ordering the occupants out, and forcing them to lie on the ground while being handcuffed. A search of the vehicles revealed eight undocumented individuals crammed inside with their two Israeli drivers, who are suspected of facilitating their presence. All ten were taken for questioning.

Simultaneously, a complex nighttime raid took place in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of northern Jerusalem. Border Police and reservists stormed a large construction site believed to be a hiding place for illegal workers. Video from the scene shows heavily armed officers carefully navigating the site, searching dark rooms and basements. In one notable moment, an officer is seen pulling a suspect from a hiding spot near shipping containers, pressing him against the container wall, and searching and handcuffing him. Five more undocumented individuals were apprehended at this site and taken for immediate interrogation.

The Border Police stated that these operations are part of a broader, uncompromising effort to dismantle networks that transport and harbor illegal aliens. These proactive operations, combining intelligence and operational daring, aim to close security loopholes and ensure public safety.
