Border Police Arrest Ten Illegal Immigrants and Driver Near Jerusalem
Israeli border police officers apprehended ten Palestinian laborers attempting to cross into Israel from the Bir Nabala area, west of Ramallah, on Tuesday evening. The infiltration was detected by IDF observation soldiers from Unit 636, who alerted border police forces.
Border police units from the Jerusalem Envelope area, aided by the observation soldiers and technological means, located the suspects as they boarded a vehicle. The forces intercepted the car and discovered that all ten individuals were residents of the Palestinian territories without the necessary permits to enter or remain in Israel.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of transporting illegal residents. All eleven individuals were transferred to the Border Police's Jerusalem Envelope division for further investigation.
