Abbas Addresses UN Via Recording, Criticizes Israel's Policies

Abbas stated that "Israel's policy violates international law and destroys the two-state solution." He described the situation in Gaza and the West Bank as a "colonial conspiracy aimed at forcing them to leave," and referred to the ongoing conflict as a "genocide war that has created a disaster." He questioned the international community, asking, "How long will you remain silent in the face of Israel?"

The United States did not approve Abbas's visa for the UN General Assembly in New York. However, the UN decided to allow him to speak remotely, a decision that went against the positions of Israel, the US, and Paraguay.
