Senior Lahav 433 Officer to N12: There Is Enough Evidence to Indict May Golan and Her Associates

The police said today, Wednesday, that the investigation into Minister May Golan, which was opened following an investigation by "HaMivkar" on News 12, has been completed. A senior Lahav officer told N12: There is enough evidence to indict May Golan and her associates.

The National Fraud Investigations Unit, Lahav 433, has completed its investigation into the case of Minister for Social Equality and Women's Status Advancement May Golan and her associates. The suspects were questioned on suspicion of committing a series of offenses involving integrity, including bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. The alleged offenses also include receiving something by fraud under aggravated circumstances, forgery with intent to obtain something, obstruction of justice, and hindering a police officer in the performance of duty.

The investigation into Golan and her associates began as a covert investigation that lasted several months and, in September last year, with the attorney general's approval, became a public investigation. Dozens of suspects and witnesses were questioned by Lahav 433 investigators as part of the case. The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office (Taxation and Economics). Upon completion of all investigative steps, Lahav 433 head Cmdr. Meni Benjamin and the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, Cmdr. Boaz Balt, approved transferring the case to the prosecution for review and decision.
