After months of covert and overt investigation, Lahav 433 has completed its probe into Minister May Golan and her close associates on suspicion of a series of offenses involving public integrity, including bribery and fraud. The case has been transferred to the prosecution for a decision.
The National Fraud Investigations Unit in Lahav 433 completed the investigation today, Wednesday, into the case of the Minister for Social Equality and the Advancement of the Status of Women, MK May Golan, as well as public employees close to her and other individuals, on suspicion of public integrity offenses.
Following a covert investigation that lasted several months, and with the approval of the attorney general, the unit moved in September 2025 to an overt investigation on suspicion of committing a range of offenses, including bribery, fraud and breach of trust, obtaining something by fraud under aggravated circumstances, forgery with intent to obtain something, obstruction of justice, and obstructing a police officer in the performance of duty.
As part of the investigation, dozens of suspects and witnesses were questioned. Upon completion of all investigative actions, Lahav 433 commander Deputy Commissioner Manny Benjamin and the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, Deputy Commissioner Boaz Blat, approved transferring the investigation file to the prosecution for review and decision.
