Veteran Israeli Journalist and Broadcaster Menashe Raz Dies at 80
Menashe Raz, a prominent Israeli journalist and broadcaster, has passed away at the age of 80. Raz had a long and distinguished career spanning decades in both radio and television.
He began his journalistic journey at Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio), later moving to Kol Yisrael (The Voice of Israel), where he served in various capacities. Raz was also one of the anchors for "Mabat," a flagship news program on Channel 1.
Throughout his career, Raz hosted popular programs such as "Shirim VeSha'arim" (Songs and Goals) and "Mesibat Itonaim" (Press Conference). He also directed documentary films and was recognized with the Kinor David (Harp of David) award in 1979.
