Miri Michaeli, a main news anchor for i24NEWS, was taken to the hospital shortly before she was scheduled to host the evening news broadcast on Wednesday. The incident occurred on a particularly significant day for the news channel, which was launching its new advertising campaign. Michaeli is one of the anchors fronting the new campaign, but instead of appearing as planned, she had to miss the broadcast due to her medical condition.
While awaiting treatment at a clinic, Michaeli shared a photo on social media showing her connected to an IV drip. She captioned the image, "A somewhat tough day. Getting better. Sorry I bailed on you." She was later released from the hospital and sent home, with the suspected cause being a virus.
