Settlers Attack West Bank Villages, Burning Vehicles and Farmland

Settlers attacked the village of Atara, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, on Thursday, burning two vehicles belonging to residents and spray-painting racist and anti-Arab slogans on several properties before leaving, according to local sources. In the Hebron Governorate, settlers blocked the road leading to the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta with stones and raised an Israeli flag, hindering residents' movement and access to the village. Local sources stated that the road closure is part of repeated attacks against the residents of Umm al-Khair and Masafer Yatta, which include assaults on citizens and their property, road closures, and land seizures, all aimed at establishing a new settlement reality and displacing the inhabitants. In Ramallah as well, settlers set fire to agricultural lands near homes on the outskirts of the village of Burqa, east of the city, causing fires to spread, according to local sources. This village has been subjected to repeated attacks for years, including the burning of lands and crops, uprooting trees, and assaulting residents and their property, coinciding with the expansion of settlement outposts in its vicinity. These attacks occur amid a continuous escalation in the West Bank, alongside intensified Israeli military operations, including raids, arrests, and tightened restrictions on Palestinian movement, as well as the closure of checkpoints and roads in several governorates, impacting Palestinian travel and access for medical and humanitarian teams.
