Police Discover Hidden Kalashnikov Rifle Under Animal Carcass in Nazareth
Northern District Police and Border Police officers uncovered a hidden Kalashnikov rifle in Nazareth on Tuesday, following intelligence information about concealed weapons. The weapon was found in an open area near a cemetery, concealed beneath a pile of stones and an animal carcass.
The carcass was apparently placed there to deter passersby and mask the smell of the hidden weapon. Officers investigating the site noticed a suspicious pile of stones and, upon digging, discovered the animal remains. Moving the carcass revealed a bag containing the assault rifle.
The firearm was seized and transferred to forensic analysis in an effort to identify the suspect who hid it. The operation targeted criminal organizations operating in the city.
