Bonzie Colson Excited for Maccabi Tel Aviv Return Ahead of EuroLeague Season

Bonzie Colson expressed his enthusiasm for his return to Maccabi Tel Aviv ahead of the EuroLeague season opener against LDLC ASVEL. Having spent two successful years with the club previously, Colson departed for Fenerbahçe but is now back in Israel, bringing with him European and domestic titles from Turkey. He stated that the team is highly motivated to achieve its goals and that the preseason work has built confidence. "We are trying to improve in practice, the preseason was good for us," Colson said. "We are trying to work hard. Our work and what we do in the preseason give us confidence. We just want to be ourselves."

Colson highlighted coach Oded Katash's directive to play their own game with strength and energy. He conveyed his excitement about returning to the club and the warm reception he has received from the fans, stating, "I am excited to return here, it is wonderful, I have received only love and support from many fans. I am happy to play for them."

Regarding the team's new uniforms, Colson mentioned his involvement in the production of the promotional video, alongside John DiBartolomeo and Jalen Adams. He found the uniforms aesthetically pleasing and was pleased with the positive fan reaction. "They are beautiful in my eyes, I, John DiBartolomeo and Jalen Adams spent many hours on the production of the video. It is very beautiful, I am happy that it looks good. The fans are satisfied with it, and in my eyes the uniforms are also beautiful," he commented.

Looking ahead to the game against ASVEL, Colson acknowledged the talent of opposing players like Patty Mills and Jae Crowder, referring to them as "veterans who have seen everything." He believes they are talented players who can adapt to European play, with coach Tony Parker likely guiding them. "We appreciate them, and I am excited to play against them," Colson concluded.
