Jerusalem Light Rail Extends Sukkot Holiday Service Until 2 AM

Jerusalem's light rail will operate until 2 a.m. during the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday, a first for the city. This extended service aims to facilitate travel for residents and visitors attending holiday events, enjoying the city center, and participating in other nighttime activities.

The L1 line, which runs between Neve Yaakov and Hadassah Ein Kerem, will offer this late-night service from Sunday, September 27, to Thursday, October 1. The Jerusalem Municipality announced the change, highlighting its significance for those wishing to utilize public transportation after regular operating hours during the holiday period.

This extension allows people to return from Sukkot festivities and central Jerusalem activities even in the late-night hours, providing a convenient transportation option throughout the holiday.
