Jerusalem Light Rail Service Partially Suspended Due to Suspicious Object
Light rail service in Jerusalem has been partially suspended following the discovery of a suspicious object. Under instructions from the Israel Police, Kafir Company halted train operations between the City Hall and Davidka stations to address the security concern. As a result, the light rail is currently operating in two separate segments: from Neve Yaakov North to City Hall in the northern part of the city, and from Davidka to Hadassah Ein Kerem in the southern part.
Kafir stated that once the suspicious object is dealt with and the tracks cleared, full service along the entire L1 line, which connects Hadassah Ein Kerem to Neve Yaakov North, will resume. The company apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and urged the public to follow official updates until normal service is restored.
