Gal Gadot Pledges $3 Million to Support Israelis Affected by Conflict

Israeli actress Gal Gadot, a recipient of the 2026 Genesis Prize, is donating $3 million to 27 organizations focused on support and psychological rehabilitation in Israel. The funds, provided in collaboration with the Genesis Prize Foundation and the Jewish Donor Network, will aid mental health professionals, as well as families and communities impacted by the October 7th attacks and subsequent conflicts.

Gadot initially pledged $1 million from her Genesis Prize award, dubbed the "Jewish Oscar," towards rebuilding Israeli society. An additional $2 million was raised through the Jewish Donor Network, tripling the total charitable contribution. "Caring for one another and solidarity are our way forward. By strengthening those who care for others, we can help heal families and communities, reconnect them, and build a stable and shared future," Gadot stated.

Approximately 150 Israeli organizations applied for the grants. Selected recipients, including "Ichud Vehatzala," Make-A-Wish Israel, and CareGivers Israel, were chosen based on their operational scope, professional capabilities, and potential to expand psychological support systems and bolster aid workers.

Since the October 7th attacks, Gadot has utilized her global reach to raise awareness about events in Israel. She has also been recognized with the ADL award for her efforts in combating antisemitism.
