Weapons Cache Found in Afula Raid, Four Suspects Arrested
Police in northern Israel announced on September 17, 2026, that they had raided an apartment in Afula suspected of being used by a criminal gang from Nazareth. During the operation, officers from the Northern District and Border Police arrested four suspects, aged 25 to 36, who are residents of Nazareth, Iksal, and Arraba.
Inside the apartment, officers discovered a bag containing a significant cache of weapons and ammunition. This included 20 devices for detonating explosive charges, a large quantity of ammunition, and additional weapon components.
The suspects' detention has been extended by the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for a second time, with hearings scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. The investigation into the circumstances of the case is ongoing.
