Israeli Soldier Charged in Shfaram Murder Case
The National Unit for the Investigation of International and Serious Crimes (Yahal) of Lahav 433 has solved the murder of Hisham Hajirat in Shfaram, which occurred on August 12, 2026. An indictment statement has been filed against a 24-year-old Israeli soldier from Bir al-Maksur village, who is suspected of exchanging fire with the victim and killing him.
The suspect allegedly intercepted the victim's path and fatally shot him. Police later apprehended the soldier in a forest, where he was found with a bottle of gasoline intended for burning the vehicle used in the crime.
