Israeli Military Charges Palestinian Suspect in 2007 Murder of Ido Zoldan
The Israeli military prosecution has filed charges against Shadi Jumaah for the 2007 murder of Ido Zoldan. Zoldan was killed in November 2007 when Jumaah and his associates planned and executed a shooting attack targeting Jewish settlers. The assailants ambushed passing vehicles, identified Zoldan's car, and fired at close range with intent to kill. Zoldan died as a result of the shooting. Jumaah was recently released from Palestinian Authority detention but was re-arrested on May 26, 2025, in Qalqilya during a joint operation by the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet, and the Gideonim Unit 33. The indictment accuses Jumaah of intentional joint murder.
