New Details Emerge in East Jerusalem Woman's Murder Investigation

Investigators have uncovered new details in the murder of Fatima Al-Rajabi, a 61-year-old woman from East Jerusalem whose body was found days after she went missing. According to a report by the Hebrew website "Walla," the suspect, identified as Saleh Othman, also in his sixties and an East Jerusalem resident, is believed to have disposed of her body inside a barrel near his home in the Al-Tur neighborhood. Othman reportedly confessed to the charges against him after surrendering to police. He reenacted the crime and led investigators to the location where Al-Rajabi's body was hidden, claiming he was intoxicated at the time of the murder.

Further investigation revealed new footage showing the suspect using the victim's credit card to withdraw money. Police suspect the motive for the killing was a debt amounting to tens of thousands of shekels. Al-Rajabi was last seen leaving her home and getting into the suspect's work vehicle before disappearing. Authorities believe he killed her and then concealed her body in a barrel.
