Former Football Referee Liran Liani Appointed Head of Kfar Saba Sports Council

Kfar Saba Mayor Rafi Sa'ar announced on Tuesday the appointment of Liran Liani as the new chairman of the city's Sports Council. Liani, a resident of Kfar Saba, is a former prominent Israeli Premier League football referee.

In his announcement, Sa'ar expressed his pleasure in appointing Liani, describing him as a former international football referee, a valued sports figure with extensive experience, and someone with a deep understanding of the sports world and a genuine connection to the city and its community. "I am happy to announce another significant step in promoting municipal sports: the appointment of Liran Liani as chairman of the municipal sports council," Sa'ar stated.

The establishment of the Sports Council was announced several months ago, and its operations are now commencing. The council's mandate will be to advance initiatives, formulate policy, and engage in collaborative thinking regarding the future of sports in Kfar Saba. Its focus will encompass all age groups, from children and youth to adults, and will cover both recreational and competitive sports.
