Omer Biran Promoted to Israel’s Premier Referees Roster for Next Season
The Israel Football Referees Association approved the Refereeing Committee’s recommendations on Sunday evening for the 2026/27 squad structure. According to the decision, Omer Biran was promoted to the top referees roster for next season.
In the same round of promotions, Plag Atzmon, Alexei Lechtyer, Omri Saadon and Elad Tzoler were moved up to the top assistant referees roster. Omri Levi, Roi Goldstein and Raz Day were promoted to the national referees roster.
Joad Azaza, Itamar Shnef, Ram Tefiaro, Daniel Goldberg, Nisan Nimni and Ofir Mizrahi were promoted to the national assistant referees roster. The association announced the changes on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 21:30, citing the committee’s recommendations for the upcoming season.
In its statement, the Refereeing Committee and the association management wished success to all the promoted referees and assistants, saying they were confident in their professional ability to integrate successfully into the higher-level squads.
