Argentine President Celebrates With Jewish Community in New York
Argentine President Javier Milei arrived in New York ahead of his address at the UN General Assembly and began his visit with a meeting with the Jewish community at the "Darchei Torah" yeshiva. During the event, held a day after Yom Kippur, Milei received the "Love of Israel Award" in recognition of his support for the Jewish people and the State of Israel. He was also filmed dancing with students to the song "Am Yisrael Chai" (The Jewish People Live).
Milei's three-day visit to New York includes his scheduled speech at the 81st UN General Assembly, a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and discussions with business and academic leaders before his return to Argentina.
