Argentine President Javier Milei Dances with Students at New York Yeshiva
Argentine President Javier Milei visited the Darchei Torah yeshiva in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, on Tuesday during his trip to the United States for the UN General Assembly. Milei, a strong supporter of Israel and the Jewish community, received the "Friend of Israel" award from the institution in recognition of his stances. He then addressed the students of the Orthodox Jewish institution in Spanish.
Footage released by his office showed the president dancing with students to the song "Am Israel Chai" as he departed the school. Since taking office, Milei has made strengthening ties with Israel a key focus of his foreign policy and has sought to enhance relations with Jewish communities and organizations.
The Argentine president was scheduled to continue his New York visit with several meetings before addressing the UN General Assembly.
