Road Rage Escalates to Brutal Attack in Tel Aviv

A road rage incident in central Tel Aviv escalated into a severe assault when a 29-year-old driver from Bat Yam attacked a 60-year-old resident of the area. The altercation began on Salomon Street after the victim attempted to overtake the suspect's vehicle. What started as a brief argument quickly devolved into violence, with the suspect headbutting the victim's car, pulling him out, and punching him in the face, causing a fractured jaw.

The assault intensified when the suspect produced a knife and attempted to stab the victim, ultimately slashing him near the eye while threatening to kill him. Even after returning to his car, the attacker approached the bleeding victim on the ground and continued to beat him brutally, leaving him in need of urgent surgery.

In an attempt to evade capture, the suspect staged a scene, pretending to call the police and portraying himself as a victim to bystanders. He then offered the injured man hundreds of thousands of shekels in exchange for his silence and to obstruct the investigation, but the victim refused the bribe.

Police from the Shar'at station swiftly apprehended the suspect, recovering the knife and gathering forensic evidence and video footage. A severe indictment has been filed against him, along with a request for his detention until the end of legal proceedings.
