Man Indicted for Road Rage Stabbing and Assault in Tel Aviv

A 29-year-old man from Bat Yam has been indicted for a violent road rage incident in Tel Aviv that involved both a knife and fists. The Tel Aviv District Police Prosecution Unit filed the indictment along with a request for pre-trial detention against the suspect. The incident occurred on September 11 on Yessod HaMa'ala Street in Tel Aviv, following a dispute between the suspect and another driver over road usage.

According to the investigation, the suspect exited his vehicle after the other driver stopped, and after a brief exchange of words, attacked the driver. Video footage shows the suspect punching the victim, knocking him to the ground, and continuing to assault him even after bystanders intervened and attempted to stop the attack. The suspect briefly ceased his assault but then resumed hitting the victim in front of onlookers.

The victim sustained injuries requiring medical attention. Following the assault, the suspect reportedly gave the victim money and asked him not to report the incident to the police. The suspect was arrested by officers from the Sharet police station who responded to the initial report. His detention was extended periodically before the indictment was filed.
