Israeli Police Arrest Elad Resident for Violent Road Rage Attack on Driver
Israeli police arrested a man in his 20s from Elad on Tuesday evening following a violent road rage incident on Rabban Yohanan ben Zakkai Street. The suspect allegedly attacked a driver after accusing him of hitting the suspect's electric scooter while overtaking him. The confrontation quickly escalated into severe violence, with the suspect punching and kicking the driver, breaking the car's side mirrors, and demanding money while shouting threats. Despite the driver remaining inside his vehicle, the suspect continued to assault the car and shout insults.
Bystanders who witnessed the attack intervened verbally, urging the suspect to stop and calling the police. The police from the Rosh HaAyin station responded promptly, using technological means to locate and arrest the suspect shortly after the incident. The suspect was taken in for questioning at the police station. The Israeli police condemned the violent behavior and emphasized their zero-tolerance policy toward any actions endangering public safety on the roads.
