IDF Conducts Brigade-Level Ground Operation in Southern Lebanon

Israeli forces have completed a significant brigade-level ground operation in the southern Lebanese village of al-Mansouri, located near the "Blue Line" border. The operation, aimed at preventing Hezbollah from re-establishing its presence near Israel's northern border, focused on clearing terror infrastructure and locating weapons.

A security source described the operation as a substantial achievement by both regular forces and reservists, stating it altered the reality on the ground and enhanced the defense of northern Israeli residents. The village is considered strategically important due to its proximity to the border.

During the operation, fighters worked systematically to dismantle military infrastructure and deny Hezbollah the ability to operate and entrench itself in the area. This raid is part of a broader series of actions in recent weeks, including reported controlled explosions and the destruction of Hezbollah facilities.

The IDF emphasizes that Hezbollah has not disarmed as required and continues to seek opportunities to rebuild its military capabilities. Israel maintains an operational presence in the security zone in southern Lebanon, following understandings reached in June. The IDF stated that proactive operations to dismantle infrastructure will continue as long as Hezbollah attempts to return to villages near the border, to preserve operational gains and ensure the safety of residents in the Galilee.
