Popular Northern Israel Site Enhanced for Accessibility Ahead of Holiday

Tel Yizre'el, a popular tourist site in northern Israel offering views of the Jezreel Valley and the Gilboa region, has undergone significant upgrades to improve accessibility and visitor experience. The Jewish National Fund (JNF) recently completed renovations, including renewing pathways and observation points, and constructing a new lookout. Shaded seating areas have been added, and accessibility improvements now allow individuals with disabilities to enjoy the site's vistas and open landscape.

Tel Yizre'el combines nature, scenery, and heritage, serving as a starting point for regional hikes. While previously developed by the JNF, this latest upgrade aims to cater to a broader audience and enhance the overall visit. Future development plans include planting local and orchard species to integrate with the existing flora and landscape, as well as upgrading the path connecting to the nearby Ein Yizre'el spring.

JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrovsky stated, "The nature and landscapes of Israel belong to everyone, and our responsibility is to allow as many people as possible to enjoy them. The upgrade at Tel Yizre'el allows visitors, including people with disabilities, to hike, pause before the scenery, and enjoy one of the valley's most beautiful sites."
