The Israel Nature and Parks Authority announced on Tuesday that it is reopening all of its sites along Israel’s northern border that had been closed because of the security situation. The decision was made in line with instructions from the Home Front Command.
The sites reopening this morning are the Hermon Stream, Banias Nature Reserve, the Akhziv National Park and beach, Hurshat Tal National Park, Tel Dan Nature Reserve, Nahal Ayun Nature Reserve, Bar'am National Park, Yehi'am National Park, and Nahal Snir Nature Reserve.
The announcement was presented as good news for hikers in northern Israel, with the authority saying the closures are being lifted now that conditions allow it. No additional changes, restrictions, or timetable were announced beyond the immediate reopening of these locations.
