Hapoel Holon Signs Skylar Pikes as Naturalized Israeli Guard
Israeli basketball club Hapoel Holon has officially signed American guard Skylar Pikes, 27, who stands at 1.97 meters. Pikes, who has Jewish roots, will be eligible to play as a naturalized Israeli player in the Israeli Premier League once the naturalization process is completed. He can immediately join the team in the Champions League.
Pikes played four seasons at St. Francis College, where he averaged 17.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. He received permission to play a fifth collegiate season but opted to join Hapoel Holon, coached by Dejan Radonjić.
Daniel Revach, the team's professional manager, described Pikes as an athletic and versatile guard capable of playing multiple positions. Revach highlighted Pikes's strong three-point shooting, scoring ability, and his significant rebounding skills, noting he was a leading guard in his category in college last season.
Hapoel Holon is reportedly still seeking to sign another foreign guard. The team announced the signing on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
