Hapoel Holon Completes Roster with Signing of Sam Irvin

Israeli-American forward Sam Irvin has signed with Hapoel Holon, completing the team's roster for the upcoming season. The 28-year-old, standing at 2.01 meters, joins from Hapoel Beer Sheva/Dimona, where he played for three seasons. In his final season with Beer Sheva/Dimona, Irvin averaged 5.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

Irvin arrived in Israel in 2022 following the Maccabiah Games, where he won a gold medal with the U.S. team. His collegiate career included two years at American University, averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds, followed by two years at the University of South Alabama and two years at Niagara University. In his senior year at Niagara, he posted averages of 8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Head coach Predrag Krunić praised Irvin's addition, noting his three years of experience in the Israeli league. "Sam is a player with three years of experience in our league. He is a power forward with a good three-point shot, team-oriented, and ready to play physically on both ends of the court, defensively and offensively," Krunić stated.

Professional manager Daniel Revach expressed his satisfaction with the signing. "We are very happy that Sam is joining us. An excellent and competitive person, a very tough player with a good shot. Sam has adapted very well to Israeli basketball and is now with us to take the next significant step in his career," Revach said.
